1. Be honest – Yes this can be a mouth opener , but this is one of the key requirement which every team member expects to get and this can be very easily possible by not hiding things from the team members , so be frank and tell them the facts of the case. Don’t try to polish things. Do not lie, this will effect very badly on your credibility.
2. Trust: This is the main key where many leaders lag. There should be ability in the leader to trust his members. You spend so much time in training but still some leaders find it difficult, so learn to trust your team players. This would encourage them to be more productive.
3. Mutual respect: As a matter of fact every individual‘s main mode of satisfaction is the respect which he gets from the other person. So treat the employees with due respect, be polite, talk to them as you talk to others and not as though they are slaves.
4. Recognition: Many surveys have been conducted, communism can be no way for success, and people want them to be recognized. Acknowledge them when they perform well publicly and when they achieve as a team be sure that you recognize them as a team. These little things really work to boost up the team spirit.
5. Be supportive: This is the main root with which all the teams are based on. So be supportive.
